Pony Pals Therapeutic Riding Association

A registered Charity in Canada

Volunteers Needed

We require volunteers to lead & care for the horses, walk with our clients, help around the farm and assist with office work and fund raising. All of our volunteers receive a full orientation on the safety and responsibility protocols of helping at PPTRA (Pony Pals Therapeutic Riding Association).

Donations

We are always in need of donations of items required for our wish list, and for monetary donations which go towards sponsoring riders, providing more equipment for the program and towards the upkeep of the horses.

Sponsor Riders and Horses

The average cost per year to care for one of our amazing equines is $6000….
Cost to sponsor a rider for a year (5 – 8 week sessions) is $200. To sponsor a rider for one session (8 weeks) is $400. To see the look of joy and accomplishment on the face of a child – priceless!

Any donations of equipment, supplies, time & support are always appreciated, and tax receipts can be issued for amounts over $20.

Many of our families have a difficult time affording the cost equine assisted and riding therapy which is not covered by MSP or insurance. Therapeutic riding has such a profound impact on the long term health and welfare of our riders. If you or your company wishes to sponsor either a rider or an equine friend, please speak with Candice Miller. Any and all sponsorships are greatly appreciated.
